This device will ideally complement existing methods for nanomaterial characterization. Thus, a measurement of SAXS and WAXS on the same sample and position can be performed simultaneously over an angular range of up to 2Θ = 75°, which has not been feasible so far. In addition, the repertoire of possible sample types (gels and pastes) and the usable temperature range (approx. -150 to +350 °C) are significantly expanded, and an automated sample changer for solid and liquid samples is integrated to enable high-throughput analyses.
